How to get Goop in Slime RNG

In Slime RNG, Goop is the rebirth currency — every rebirth in Slime RNG consumes Goop in exchange for a permanent luck multiplier that stays with you across every future roll. The catch: you can't get Goop in Slime RNG until you unlock the drop from the skill tree for 10M coins. This page walks through the full Slime RNG skill-tree unlock path, the six named Goop drop-rate upgrades and their exact costs, the fastest way to farm Goop in the highest zone you can survive, and a Slime RNG FAQ at the bottom.

Background

What is Goop in Slime RNG?

Goop is a special late-game currency in Slime RNG, completely separate from your coin balance, that exists for one job: rebirthing. When you rebirth in Slime RNG, your coin balance and zone progression both reset to zero, but you keep every slime you've ever rolled or crafted, every skill-tree node you've already bought, and you gain a permanent luck multiplier that applies to every future Slime RNG roll for the rest of your save. Goop is the cost of that trade — without enough Goop, the rebirth button is locked.

Unlike most Slime RNG resources, Goop never drops in the early game. New Slime RNG players often ask why their kills aren't producing Goop — the answer is always the same: in Slime RNG, the Goop drop is hard-locked behind the skill tree, and until you spend 10M coins to unlock the Goop node, no enemy in Slime RNG will ever drop a single piece, regardless of luck stat, zone level, or the slime type doing the killing.

Step 1 — Unlock

Buy the Goop node from the skill tree

Goop drops are locked behind the skill tree. Until you buy the Goop node for 10M coins, no enemy will ever drop Goop, no matter how high your luck.

The required prerequisite chain is:

  1. Backpack
  2. Auto Roll
  3. 2 Enemies
  4. 3 Enemies
  5. Goop — 10M coins
→ Don't rush this in the very early game. Multiple guides recommend reaching Heaven (zone 7, where the Crafting Machine sits) before investing in Goop, since coin income at lower zones makes 10M painful.
Step 2 — Farm

Fight in the highest zone you can survive

Once unlocked, every defeated slime has a chance to drop Goop. Two factors govern how fast the pile grows:

  • Zone level — higher zones drop more Goop per kill. Always grind at the frontier of your zone progression, not in a comfortable lower zone.
  • Luck stat — your Luck multiplier increases Goop drop frequency. Stack luck via code-redeemed potions (Luck Boost / Ultra Luck Potion) and past rebirths.
→ If your slimes keep dying in the higher zone, lower the enemy spawn count in settings instead of dropping back a zone — keeps your DPS effective without losing the zone bonus.
Step 3 — Upgrades

The 6 Goop drop-rate upgrades

After the initial Goop node, the skill tree has 6 named upgrades that progressively raise the drop chance from baseline → 85%. Costs climb steeply.

UpgradeDrop chanceCost
Goop Drip35%250M
Goop Flood45%20B
Goop Chance55%4T
Goop Chance II65%500T
Goop Chance III75%75Qd
Goop Chance IV85%10Qn

Costs and drop chances confirmed identically by Beebom and TechWiser. Names also confirmed by games.gg. Where guides differ on the top tier's exact name, we use the IV convention.

Step 4 — Spend

Use Goop to rebirth — what persists, what resets

✓ Persists across rebirth

  • All rolled and crafted slimes
  • Crafting Machine + recipe scrolls you've already collected
  • Skill-tree upgrades (including Goop ones)
  • Consumables and fruits in inventory
  • Permanent luck multiplier — accumulates each rebirth
  • Surplus Goop above the rebirth threshold

✗ Resets

  • Coin balance
  • Zone unlocks (re-buy each run)
→ Each rebirth only consumes the threshold amount of Goop, not your full balance — over-farming carries straight over to the next rebirth. Collect any recipe scrolls you still need before rebirthing, since zone unlocks reset (recipes themselves persist once picked up).
Still TBA

What no source has the exact number for

  • Goop required for rebirth #1, #2, #3, … (only "the threshold scales" is described)
  • Exact luck multiplier per rebirth (one source claims it doubles each rebirth — single-source, not yet cross-confirmed)
  • How much each zone level adds to per-kill Goop yield
  • Whether mutated / rare slime kills give a bigger Goop bonus, and by how much
FAQ

Slime RNG Goop FAQ

When should I unlock Goop in Slime RNG?

Most Slime RNG guides agree: reach Heaven (zone 7) and buy the Crafting Machine for 1M coins before sinking 10M into the Goop node. Doing it earlier in Slime RNG means farming this drop in low-yield zones for hours, since per-kill Goop yield scales with zone level. The Crafting Machine also pays for itself faster than the Goop node does.

Does luck affect the Goop drop rate?

Yes. Your Slime RNG luck stat multiplies the chance of every drop, including this one. Stack luck via Slime RNG code-redeemed potions (Luck Boost / Ultra Luck Potion) and the permanent multiplier you accumulate from previous rebirths.

Can you farm Goop in Slime RNG without rebirthing first?

Yes — once you've unlocked the skill-tree node, every enemy kill rolls for a Goop drop. You don't need to have already rebirthed once. Your first Slime RNG rebirth simply requires you to first farm enough Goop to meet that rebirth's threshold.

What happens to surplus Goop after a rebirth?

Surplus Goop carries over. Each Slime RNG rebirth consumes only the threshold amount, so over-farming is never wasted — the leftover stockpile counts toward the next rebirth's threshold automatically.

Does Goop drop in lower zones in Slime RNG?

Yes, but the per-kill yield is lower. Zone level multiplies how much Goop each enemy drops, so the highest zone you can survive in Slime RNG is always the right place to grind. Don't drop back to a comfortable zone just because the kills feel safer.

Is there any way to get Goop without the skill tree node?

No. Across every published Slime RNG guide we cross-checked, there is no code, potion, fruit, recipe, or hidden mechanic in Slime RNG that produces Goop. The 10M skill-tree unlock is the only entry point.
